I committed publicly to a second half of the Nicky Watts In A Box Tour, internationally. See Nicky Watts In A Box in the projects section to the left in order to understand the scope of the project and what was accomplished in the first half of the tour. The first half of the project was about my own internal struggles with Emotional Isolation. this next half is about other people's relationship with it. In this tour, I will have a team to document the happenings and the experience that other's have with me and the box. I've decided to leave this tour up to the fans, to patrons.
There are fifteen available performances. These performances each need to be a minimum of three days long and could be as long as patrons negotiate. Some of these can take place in the US, but for every performance, at least three days needs to performed internationally. The guidelines of each performance will be unique and worked through with the assistance of the patrons, which will be considered collaborative parties. Together, the collaborating partner and I will set the length of the performance that s/he/they is patronizing.
The way that these performances will be set is based off how many performances are left. There will be a daily contribution by the patrons. These rates do not include travel costs or costs of Audience Performance. The collaborating partners will have a large say in where we travel to and how elaborate we will go with production and size. This is part of the benefit of patronizing this tour; having an opinion to weigh in with for details of the designated performance. It is a creative collaboration.
Fifteen of these performances have already taken place, so these are 16-30.
Performances 16-19: $3000 per day. This includes a team, not travel costs.
Performances 20-23: $7000 per day. This includes a team, not travel costs.
Performances 24-26: $11000 per day. This includes a team, not travel costs.
Performances 27, 28: $17,000 per day. This includes a team, not travel costs.
Performances 28, 30: $25,000 per day. This includes a team, not travel costs.
Each box Livin Performance will be both site specific and have at least one Audience Performance attached to it. Each performance will have at least one custom box. How elaborate the performances are will depend on the Collaborating Partner.
