REBUILDING UKRAINE

I think it’s safe to say that most of our hearts are breaking over Ukraine. Mine is no different. To help, I partnered with a team in San Francisco and we organized a performance below that raised over $12,000 for Ukraine. The advertisement is below.

Below is the link so that you can see the project. This link will stay up until the quilt is done (Visit the GoFundMe to read the project.).

We are changing directions, though - with our fundraising efforts, so if you are thinking about it, please don’t send more funds to this page. This is open until we finish the quilt. That’s where we need help.

This website was put together to gather help to finish the quilt that will be sent to Ukraine to keep someone warm next winter.

The GoFundme original project link is:

We are not soliciting funds at this point from collaborators on the quilt. With that in mind, here is the link for the new project we are working on. Just so you can see the direction we’re going in. By helping us finish making squares for the quilt, you are helping us refocus into the future events to support the new funding direction. Below is the new link.

To finish the quilt, we have collaborated with Representative Adrian Tam at the Hawaii State Capitol. Together, we will sew together square that will be sent to San Francisco to be sewn together into an actual quilt. The quilt will be sent to Ukraine to keep someone warm and reminded that they are cared for.

On April 25th-28th (while supplies last) you will be able to come to Room 419, Vice Speaker Ilagan’s office, and either sit and sew with us, or take a prepared bag to sew in your own office. Help us finish this quilt so it can make its way to Ukraine!
